Course Description

Photoshop is an introductory, instructor-led Adobe Creative Suite (CS) course designed for individuals who want to create, enhance, or manipulate images and graphics professionally, and prepare them for print or the web. This course is ideal for learners pursuing careers in graphic design, digital artistry, photo editing, web design, and related fields. It is perfect for creative individuals looking to enhance images and create graphics. This hands-on course builds foundational skills in Adobe Photoshop that are essential in today’s workplace. This practical course covers:

  • Getting started with Photoshop

  • Creating basic images

  • Managing selections and layers

  • Adjusting and refining images

  • Managing files for production

Through live instruction and hands-on practice, participants gain introductory Adobe Photoshop skills that bring their creative ideas to life.

Recommended Prerequisites

  • Windows Basics & File Management and confidence using computer applications.

Please read:  This course is part of the Adobe Boot Camp (Oct. 20 - 22, 2026). The facility will be open 30 minutes in advance and classroom access is available 15 minutes in advance of the start time. If you already have an Adobe account, please bring your username and password to the class. If you don't have an account, we will create a temporary one for you to use in class. After you attend the class, you will be receiving an email from Chinook Continuing Education with your access key for your online text resource for the class. This resource is not needed before you attend the class - it is for your future reference. If you don't receive the email within one week after your class ends, please check your junk email folder.
