Authentic integration of technology into classroom lessons can help enhance the effectiveness of content delivery when designed appropriately. This teacher professional development course will introduce you to five blended learning models and guide you on how to design the correct blended learning lesson to maximize learning in your classroom. You will be able to view the use of technology in the classroom as an integral component of lesson planning rather than an add-on you consider later.
The course will teach you to design a structured lesson using thoughtful technology resources and is an ideal course for individuals considering how they might support differentiated learning in the classroom. The course curriculum also covers how to design a plan of action for your classroom and comes with nine templates/resources to support you in creating a blended classroom.

- This course can be taken on either a PC, Mac, or Chromebook.
Software Requirements:
- PC: Windows 10 or later.
- Mac: macOS 10.6 or later.
- Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is preferred. Microsoft Edge and Safari are also compatible.
- Microsoft Word Online
- Adobe Acrobat Reader
- Software must be installed and fully operational before the course begins.
Other:
- Email capabilities and access to a personal email account.
- Editing of a Microsoft Word document is required in this course. You may use a free version of Microsoft Word Online, or Google Docs if you do not have Microsoft Office installed on your computer. Model Teaching can provide support for this.

- Work through each step in designing a blended learning lesson, and reflect upon the activities and online resources that you can utilize to support a blended lesson
- Putting it All Together
- Using the sample provided, build your own idea for a blended learning lesson for your current or future classroom and receive feedback on your plans
- Applying What you Have Learned
- Get ideas on how to implement the concepts into your classroom, find a list of online resources that support blended learning, and read the research behind blended learning that supports this evidence- based professional development
